Painter Maureen O’Hara Ure has taught in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Utah for many years. Her solo exhibition, A World Away, opens at Salt Lake City’s Phillips Gallery March 15, and remains on view through April 12.She developed this series of paintings on panel from sketches made during visits to Spain in 2022 and 2023. In the second phase of this project, O’Hara Ure has begun to adapt images from her travel sketchbooks for her fourth artist’s book, the latest to be published under her imprint, The Hand in Glove Press.
